  1. My area of focus is history and I want to study law so I would like my final project to be about law and ethics. I am interested in looking at the case about the man that was incarcerated for 14 years out of a 23 years sentence and was actually found to be innocent and also at the article about “School to Prison pipeline.”

  2. I called my uncle who is a criminal lawyer. I told him about the project that I have to do at the end of my senior year. Since he knows that I want to be a lawyer and that I have a constant debate with myself about if I can actually defend a criminal or not or hide evidence to win a case he told me that it would be great to look into other cases and write about them and me give my own opinion if I think that certain things are ethical and which are not. He also told me to try and put myself in that lawyers shoes and try and write as them and see what I truly would do if I was that lawyer seeing whatever evidence for which ever the case is and see if I could actually defend that criminal or innocent person since it is always in question.

  3. I watched the movie law abiding citizen. This has to do with my project because it shows how the main character of the movie does a deal with the D.A. and from there the trouble starts.

  4. M – I’m excited to see that you spoke with your uncle. Are you familiar with http://www.innocenceproject.org/? You should check it out – I think it aligns with your interests. Take a look also at Media Matters (link is in the resources section of this website) and specifically http://www.mediathatmattersfest.org/films/book_em_undereducated_overincarcerated.
